Our Fleet

Hydra’s fleet of subsea support vessels are utilized for multipurpose marine construction and deepwater oil and gas projects. Conveniently docked on the Sabine Ship Channel in Port Arthur, Texas, our subsea vessels have heavy lift capacity and are configured for deep-water ROV operations, making them ideal for subsea construction, decommissioning, and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) projects.

Our procedures are optimized for both standalone umbilical projects and integrated scopes involving other subsea hardware. Whether it’s 100 feet or 1,000 meters, we deliver clean, controlled, and confident installations.

Hydra performs subsea pipeline repairs with speed, safety, and technical precision. Whether addressing leaks, mechanical damage, or tie-in points, we deploy ROVs and custom tooling to execute repairs in place, often without the need for recovery. Services include clamp installations, hot tapping, coating remediation, and structural reinforcements. Every job is supported by engineered procedures, risk assessments, and close coordination with client integrity teams.

Our UWILD (Underwater Inspection in Lieu of Drydocking) services allow operators to fulfill class inspection requirements without taking their vessel offline. Hydra uses ROVs to conduct detailed hull surveys, thruster inspections, and other critical checks under the guidance of classification societies. We deliver high-definition video, NDT, and comprehensive reporting that meets regulatory and compliance standards. It’s a safer, faster, and more cost-effective alternative to traditional drydocking.

Hydra’s operational footprint is anchored by Consolidated Ship Repair (CSR) in Port Arthur, Texas, a Hydra-owned facility offering system integration testing, heavy-lift capability, fabrication, and dockside services. This infrastructure allows us to mobilize rapidly, control quality end-to-end, and maintain tight alignment between engineering, vessel operations, and field execution.

Recent Projects

Facility Decommissioning and Pigging Support Services

Located within California’s Central Coast region, an oil heating facility connecting to three offshore OCS platforms required decommissioning. An experienced crew managed various elements of the project, all while supporting all pigging and nitrogen purging operations.

Oil Heating Facility Flush & Purge Operation

An onshore oil heating facility that processes crude and natural gas required decommissioning. The company awarded Hydra Offshore Construction the project in order to remove contaminants from all vessels and piping.

BOP Recovery for International Drilling Contractor

A subsea blowout preventer (BOP) for a privately held oil and gas E&P company unexpectedly detached, damaging a subsea tree in 3,000 ft water depth. The BOP was 70% buried in the seabed, limiting access to feasible lift points.
